Bug repellents are essential for protecting individuals from insect bites and their potential health risks. Insects like mosquitoes, ticks, and flies can carry and transmit diseases such as malaria, Lyme disease, dengue, Zika virus, and West Nile virus. Additionally, insect bites can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, and discomfort.

Using bug repellents helps create a protective barrier that discourages insects from landing on or biting humans, reducing the risk of disease transmission and improving outdoor comfort. Bug repellents are essential for maintaining health and safety in areas with high insect activity or during activities like hiking or camping.

Plant herbs to keep bugs away. Lavender, peppermint, and tansy around the house will keep ants away. Plant them in the ground or in pots around doorways, and place small pots of mint on your windowsills.

    1. 1/4 cup (7.5g) dried peppermint leaves

    2. 1/4 cup (35g) powdered cayenne

    3. 1/4 cup (30g) borax

    4. Mix together and sprinkle liberally around the area where ants are entering your home

Repel ants with oils of peppermint, citronella and spearmint essential oils by placing a few drops on cotton ball in the areas where the ants are. Renew oils every two days to keep scent strong.

Pepper spray: (great for ants and other small pests)

    1. Boil 2 - 3 cups of water
